Be Wiser Day 2013

Be Wiser Day 2013 will be held on October 25, 2013 from 10 am to 6 pm. All students are encouraged to attend and participate in the different events being held throughout the day!

10 am: Tabling for the Wall that Alcohol Built - Students will have the opportunity to participate in "building a wall" constructed from personal stories about how alcohol has affected them positively or negatively. Students can participate in this activity by visiting Thurston, Ivory, South, or West Halls during the times of the tabling event. Students will also have a chance to sign the Be WIser Pledge.
 

12 noon: George's Heroes Event - Students are invited to attend learn about Bystander Intervention by participating in a free luncheon located in Ivory Tower community room on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 12 noon. We will be empowering students with the tools they need to become "George's Hero" and engage their peers in safe alcohol consumption practices. George's Hero Certificate provided and students will have an opportunity to sign the Be Wiser Pledge! Students are encouraged to RSVP so that we can ensure that we have enough lunch for all of those intending to participate in this opportunity!

2 pm- 6 pm: Kogan Plaza Be Wiser Day Activity Extravaganza - CADE will be tabling as well as engaging students in a number of other activities:
  • Beer Goggle Corn Hole

  • The Path that Alcohol Built

  • Alcohol Education Prize Wheel

  • Free T-Shirt Giveaways

  • Temporary Tattoos

  • CADE candy grams

  • Be Wiser Pledge Opportunity

  • ABRA will be hosting IntoxiClock
